Everyone seems to be doing well too. As I said to them,
'I'm not being soft or anything, but I had my music on shuffle the other morning, and when 'Kids' came on I almost missed us all. We did a f@ck load of arguing, and I personally pissed everybody off more than once, but 12 was a bloody ace time. I do enjoy being back in London (sometimes), it's busy and something is always happening, but every now and then I catch myself wishing I was 5013 miles due west'.
It's true. London is this amazing, massive city that seems to be in the centre of everything. There is always something happening somewhere in the city and I love it. I missed it when I was in Portland.
When I was in Portland I moaned about it being too hot, too quiet, too green etc. It was cheap and cheerful and the people were lovely, but for some reason I missed the hustle and bustle of London. And now I am back, right in the middle of The Big Smoke. I'm super happy, but I do catch myself occasionally missing Portland life. You always want what you don't have / You don't know what you've got til it's gone. Scrappers told me that.
London is a great place to be right now in this stage of my life. We'll see where the next stage takes Toddy and I.
