Had a lovely day with Toddy today. We did our usual voyage to Borough Market to taste the weird and wonderful delights on offer (I'll whack a couple of photos up here when I next get on a computer; this app resizes them all wrong), and then we sat by the Serpentine in Hyde Park and drunk our own volume of tea. And yes, I am well aware that I am 63 years old.
But it was lovely walking home through the Park and seeing the full moon. It was hanging low in the sky above Marble Arch, and it was a deep orange. I almost got a bit romantic, but then I remembered that I am a Yorkshireman.
I also found out that iPhone cameras cannot take good photos of the moon.

Well it's about time
I got a phone call this morning telling me some potentially good news. So as soon as it is all verified I will no doubt post it on here and do some twittering and generally be very 21st century about the whole thing.
But in the meantime I think Toddy and I are off to Hyde Park for a bit. And that coffee shop place better have scones today.
Also, if you're reading this (which is a weird thing to say because you obviously are) have a look around the new-look blog and let me know what you think. I'm quite proud of my simple HTML knowledge.

What A Great Idea
I really want to team up with a printers here in London and design and print a zine. It would be full of collaborative articles, illustrations, and whatever the hell the printers require.
Anyway, I have yet to find a printers who are up for it, especially in this economy. But I did stumble across Newspaper Club.
It looks a little bit amazing to say the least. I think I might try them out, just as soon as I get some money.

"This is Newspaper Club; we're here to help people make their own newspapers. And by ‘newspapers’ we mean anything you can make with ink on newsprint."

The Office
Well this is the office of Jane and Will until we actually get hired. It has a London postcode, a nice view of next door's garden, plus excellent tea and coffee making facilities.

Australians!
Well would you look at that: two people down under looked at SIMD the other day! I noticed that my hits had gone down quite a lot (definitely nothing to do with the fact that I havn't posted anything of any real value on this thing) but knowing that a couple of Aussie's looked at it made me feel a bit better. Bonza!

Not A Great Start To The Year
Found out yesterday that I didn't get a job that I was in the running for. Apparently it was down to me and some other bloke, but the agency decided that they needed someone more senior than me. But if nobody is prepared to give me the experience how do I get to be 'more senior'?
Still, I've been unemployed for seven months now, so I won't let myself get too upset. I did take this photo at Notting Hill Station this week. At least that turned out nice.

Bloody snow
Had a great time at home for Christmas. Toddy and I ate a ton of food, slept a lot, and generally enjoyed spending dark evenings with my family. The thick snow looked wonderful and made my Christmas even more Christmassy. However, another layer of said thick snow decided to fall today, so getting back to London tomorrow is going to be great fun. Bollocks.
And...I ordered something off t'internet and it didn't come in time. So now I have to wait for my folks to repost it down to me. A bloody good job it wasn't important, that's all I have to say.
