Why does Easter coincide with my busiest spell at BBH?

Doodling
Started doodling in my new moleskine last night in an attempt to stop drawing like everyone else, and start drawing my own way. I'm trying to find a style that is in between realistic illustration and stylised doodling, but it is probably going to take a while. Last night's doodle still looks too 'normal', even if the subject is one of the world's most ugliestest men. I like the idea of not planning out the sketch, and instead drawing each individual element and hoping that they fit together in an interesting way. So if I were going to do a portrait, instead of planning out the shape of the face and lining everything up accordingly, I would draw a super detailed eye, then the nose, then spend a while doing the mouth, and when they all come together the weirdness and un-lined-up-ness should look pretty cool. In theory.

Thanks to Snoop Dougs
Had a lovely lazy weekend of eating, sightseeing and Grand Designsing with Toddy, and I know that this week at work is going to be splendoulous. Don't ask me why I know, I just do. And to add to it's splendoulousness, we get Friday and next Monday off for Easter. All the kids are doing it apparently.
Anyway, I got a pretty cool blog comment this weekend (the first one I have had in ages I might add: my two and a half readers must be tired) from a certain Mr Snoop Dougy Dougs, regarding what I should actually do with stuffihavedone.com. The gentleman says,
I've always had a love for publishing, and magazines especially. Maybe something that blends a portfolio, a magazine, and a blog together would be something really interesting? It got me thinking anyway.
But with the move coming up soon, and that Easter thing happening this week, I probably won't get round to doing anything for a while. Bah Bumhug.

I've always wanted to do some sort of online pdf mag mailout showcase thing where featured creatives showcase their work.

Well It's Finally Happened
Stuffihavedone has been taken down. I still own the domain like, but the content management people started charging me, so I stopped using them. I think if I teamed up with a webby person who knows how tinterweb works I could make a really tip top webshite. Something more than an online portfolio. If you know of anything I should take a look at, or if you want to help, leave a comment.
I won't hold my breath though.

The shoot went really well, and the photos are in this afternoon. We're going to make those puppies look even better! I'll post the final poster as and when it is allowed.

Webshite
I got a nice friendly reminder from Cargo yesterday, reminding me that I need to pay for my website or else they will take it away from me and all my wonderous efforts will be killed. And I am almost glad of said email - it means I have to get off my derriere pretty sharpish and actually make a new website. With a name like stuffihavedone it needs to be something more than just a online portfolio. Something that can live online, and just house stuff...that I have done. Any ideas anybody?

12 Update
It was nice to email a few of the twelvers yesterday and see how everyone is doing. I think we are (probably) the most spread out of classes, geographically speaking. Two of us now work in London, three of us in New York, one of us in Washington DC, five of us in Portland (I think), and two of us in LA. Yes, I know that makes 13. I like that 12.5 has this presence in a fair few of the world's 'cultural capitals'.
Everyone seems to be doing well too. As I said to them,
It's true. London is this amazing, massive city that seems to be in the centre of everything. There is always something happening somewhere in the city and I love it. I missed it when I was in Portland.
When I was in Portland I moaned about it being too hot, too quiet, too green etc. It was cheap and cheerful and the people were lovely, but for some reason I missed the hustle and bustle of London. And now I am back, right in the middle of The Big Smoke. I'm super happy, but I do catch myself occasionally missing Portland life. You always want what you don't have / You don't know what you've got til it's gone. Scrappers told me that.
London is a great place to be right now in this stage of my life. We'll see where the next stage takes Toddy and I.
Everyone seems to be doing well too. As I said to them,
'I'm not being soft or anything, but I had my music on shuffle the other morning, and when 'Kids' came on I almost missed us all. We did a f@ck load of arguing, and I personally pissed everybody off more than once, but 12 was a bloody ace time. I do enjoy being back in London (sometimes), it's busy and something is always happening, but every now and then I catch myself wishing I was 5013 miles due west'.
